About Arts Award
Arts Award’s unique qualifications support children and young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. The programme develops skills for success in 21st century life including creativity, leadership, reflective thinking and communication skills. Through Arts Award young people learn to work independently, helping them to prepare for further education and employment.
Arts Award is open to anyone aged 25 and under, and embraces all interests and backgrounds. You can get creative in any art form, lead your own project and find out about arts careers.
Why Should I do an Arts Award?
Arts Award is an opportunity to achieve a qualification while you:
- have fun learning new things
- work with arts professionals
- share your skills with other people
You can get creative in any art form that interests you, drawing, painting, photography, textiles, written word, spoken word, music, ceramics, the choice is yours!
Arts Award Explore
The activities we offer through Activate Create can count towards Arts Award Explore. Through the Explore Level you will;
- take part in arts activities
- explore the work of artists and arts organisations
- create your own piece of art
- share what you have made, explored and enjoyed
Our artists and trained Arts Award Advisors will be on hand to support you throughout the process. We have everything you’ll need to complete your Arts Award Explore Log Book, including lots of extra resources if you need them, so it’s a really easy and fun process.
